Vintage Royal Copenhagen Pattern #947 "Golden Clover" (Cream) Dinnerware.
Pattern Description: #947, Gold Encrusted, Tan and Gold Flowers, Tan & Black Bands, Diamond Pattern Gold Encrusted Rim Band, Cream Background, Smooth Edge. Made in Denmark.
Maker's Marks and Dating: The pieces all have the circular printed green underglaze Crown and "ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK" with 'Blue Waves' back stamps. Some pieces do not have any dots above or below a letter in 'ROYAL' or 'COPENHAGEN'; according to the official Royal Copenhagen website, these pieces would have been manufactured between ca. 1923 and 1934. A few pieces do have dots above a letter in 'ROYAL' or 'COPENHAGEN'; these pieces would have been manufactured between ca. 1935 and 1949. Most of these marks above a letter are specifically over the second 'E' in Copenhagen, making the manufacture date as 1948.
Condition: Excellent near antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. Expect light utensil marks and shelf wear. See photos.
